Message from the Secretary

Hello NWOBB Members. The days are getting longer and the temperatures are climbing thus Football season must be just around the corner. What an exciting season it will be if the Browns pick up where they left off last year.  Some solid off season additions should allow that to happen. With the team back to winning and fan interest expanding the club hopes to entice local business to join us and make being a Browns Backers more attractive than just showing up at  Shawn’s on Sunday and watching the game. As you will see we are planning a number of events both during the off season as well after the season starts. I encourage everyone to Participate. My phone number is posted in every newsletter and on our website so PLEASE if you have an idea which might help us reach the above mentioned goals do not hesitate to call. I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful spring/ summer and I hope to see each and every one of you on May 20th for elections.

Thank You and
GO BROWNS

BANQUET UPDATE

This year’s banquet with Joshua Cribbs as are guest went well even with a problem of the autograph session taking longer than anticipated. Yes it was an inconvenience but we had the best kick returner in the NFL singing those autographs creating the long line so I personally feel blessed to have him on our team and to have had that inconvenience.  Lessons where learned and steps will be taken to speed the line up next year. The Monday following the banquet I received a phone call from Joshua’s representative speaking on behalf  of Joshua saying what a wonderful time he had and what dedicated fans we appear to have in the Toledo area. Thank you to all who attended and for your patience. Our club was able to donate $1000.00 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio from the proceeds of this event. A thank you letter from them can be found at the end of this newsletter. Standard procedure has most of the thank you letters we receive addressed to me but it is all of us who make these wonderful events happen.
